time capsule

2022

the year of the

flower child.

12/16/22

I graduated

from Gordon State College

December 16th 2022,

with an associates in theatre.

& there’s not a project I'd rather

wrap up my 2022 time capsule

with than my graduation cap.

12/15/22

how I managed

to make this is a

mystery

9/28/22

At the lazy j there's a few people who

think they run the show-

However, the only true boss

is boss baby.

She was found in the ceiling of a local building

and the owner of the lazy j- Tori bottle fed her

they are now inseparable,

and she is the

official

store cat /mascot /menace.

putting my

stamp

on it

I was debating ordering stamps to make ornaments with

(yes, you have to plan this early

for Christmas in the pottery universe.)

then i woke up in a cold sweat at 2 am

realizing I could make my own-

I really love how they came out-

I use this stamp across all mediums,

I hand stamp shirts and tea towels,

and the ornaments came out great.

book cover

draft 1

Thomaston has a long history

of being a mill town

-mostly textiles-

and that helped inspire the background

of the mill for the front cover,

we went with a more toned down version

eventually, but this was my favorite version.

poppy &

findley

the cutest duo.

My pottery guru / studio fairy Maryann had her first two grandbabies- 2 little girls named Poppy and Findley.I thought id make her a special DUO.

this was my first attempt at a F.C. duo, a middle of the night creative breakthrough.

im illustrating

a book

about thomaston

It was honestly surreal to be asked to

illustrate a BOOK

especially one about Thomaston.

Debbie and I clicked from the beginning about the overall vibe of the book- it being family focused we wanted it to be fun and packed with color. It was one of my favorite projects I've been a part of- collaborating and sketching more of Thomaston technicolor style.

clock

coming in

Thomaston had the clock tower on our courthouse redone-

and it inspired me to make more mixed media styles of Technicolor Thomastons.

lily fest

4/6/22

Lily fest has evolved over the years,

it started out as several families floating the flint together

- at the time to see the shoal lilies bloom.
The lilies are endangered and are mainly located
in the flint and don't bloom for long.
We would float down and get out at PAM’S cabin,

where after a beer or two

(or 3,, or 4,,)

it always turned into a sing along around the fire.

Eventually the cabin upgraded into a wedding venue-

and with that

lily fest

was officially REborn

a BLUEGRASS

music

festival.

Pam asked me if i was interested in doing merch for it

and i jumped at the chance.

I BASED THE DESIGN OF A BANJO AND THE ICONIC LILY

It was so cool to make a design for an event I attended for years before its official debut.

the

birth

of the

flower

children

The OG Flower children were one of my first attempts

at hand building a more sculptural piece- vs thrown or slabbed.

The OGs were so charming-

their little personalities already forming through the clay

they were a hit.

And as i made more they got bigger and better- in size and personality.

It’s so fun to watch them transform throughout the process.

aND THEY ARE DEFINITELY A PROCESS LOL

100

pots

I had a great deal of luck

this saint patricks day-

after managing 2 pots

i threw 7, including

my 100th pot!

Pottery is one of my favorite art forms-

and being covered in mud has become

one of my basic forms.
